Welcome to Us

Sergel Preschools are located in central Stockholm in Norrmalm, and we currently have seven preschools: Klara, Sture, Tule, Svea, Vega, Sirius, and Kejsarkronan.

In our unit, we work based on an exploratory approach inspired by the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy. The Reggio Emilia philosophy represents an educational approach that is based on a strong belief in human potential, a deep respect for the child, and a conviction that all children have a strong inherent drive to explore the world. Right now, we have play as a focus area in our preschools, where we work with the significance of play in education. We are looking for you as a co-educator.

Your Role

Sergel Preschools are looking for substitutes for regular staff during unplanned absences. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is flexible and can work shifts that arise at short notice. You may be offered shifts at our five preschools depending on where the need arises.

As a preschool assistant, you are an important part of the teams that together ensure that everyday life at the preschool runs smoothly and that care and daily educational work are based on children's participation and choices. Together with other colleagues at the preschool, you contribute to creating a positive, meaningful, and developing environment for each child and for the entire group of children. You are active in your relationship with the children and in their play. In meetings with guardians, you maintain good communication and act professionally and service-oriented. As a preschool assistant with us, you act in accordance with the curriculum, set goals, policies, and guidelines.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for you with:

• preschool assistant education or started preschool assistant education or other experience working with children
• experience working in preschool

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience working with children with disabilities
• experience working with digital tools together with children
• experience working with pedagogical documentation

As a person, you are committed, flexible, and self-driven. You have a clear child focus and an interest in contributing to children's development and learning. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude towards your work and your team. You have the ability to collaborate with children, colleagues, and guardians in a responsive and professional manner. You are development-oriented in your work. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

To work in our preschools, you need to present an extract from the Police's criminal record register. You order the extract yourself, and it is valid for one year.
